We’re back from a wonderful weekend of DRR. First up was the benefit show at the El-n-Gee for Steve Kaika. We played a short set then were lucky enough to make our way out into New London to see the amazing music community come together to celebrate Steve. On Saturday we played our first ever New York City gig at the Alphabet Lounge. We had a BLAST! Looks like we’ll be doing that again really soon!
This summer is going to be super busy with gigs. We’ve got the Bank Street Cafe, the High Noon Saloon, the North Stonington Fair and many more! Check out the calendar page for the most current list of dates.
We play on taking the first two weeks of August to focus on recording material for our debut CD. Hopefully we can get this thing out by the end of the year.
Look forward to seeing you guys real soon!
The Good Sponge party was unbelievable. So many great artists all in one place and such a positive vibe. Well done, Mr. Ben Parent. If you haven’t already picked up a copy of the Good Sponge Sampler Vol1 CD head over to goodsponge.com and get it today!
Next up for the DRR gang is our first show with our good friends, Uncle Flatty at the Bank Street Cafe in New London, CT. Uncle Flatty is an Americana/Alt-Rock band from Connecticut. Great players. Great people. Check them out at uncleflatty.com.
Looking ahead… It’s looking like June is going to be a very busy month for DRR. More details to follow but I can tell you now that we’re playing our first NYC gig at the Alphabet Lounge on June 16!
The folks over at Good Sponge Records (Ben) have included “The House” on a new compilation of southeastern Connecticut artists. This is a great opportunity for us and we’re very grateful to have been included. Head over to www.goodsponge.com and check it out. You can listen to all the tracks online and better yet even buy a few!
We’re slated to play at the CD release show on March 31 with most of the other artists on the record. More details will follow as the show takes shape. Stay tuned…
